How do I get started with your agency as an EXTRA?
Click on "Register With Us" and fill out the form to register as an Extra. The Registration process is complete and you will be booked as an extra only after you have paid the $50 website listing fee(for life) or $150/family by Paypal or mail. Please email us a few photos that are as professional as possible soon after that to: Contact@knightstartalent.com. with your name and stating that you just registered as an extra. We will then have your profile listed on the site and you will be emailed regarding extra work asap.

Where does the filming take place?
At various locations in the Salt Lake City Metropolitan-area.

What types of projects will I work on as an extra?
There are commercials, feature films, industrials, independent films, and other opportunities as well. So far we have submitted extras for a Franklin Covey industrial, Sprint & Foundation For Better Life commercials, website commercials, BYU’s first feature film, “Fire Creek,” the movie “Blind Guy” in Ogden, “World’s Fastest Indian,” “Unaccompanied Minors,” the comedy “Wieners,” “American Pastime,” the drama “The Last Sin-Eater,” and many more. Disney films a lot of their movies here (including “Go Figure,” “Life is Ruff” and “High School Musical” 1 and 2 “Read It and Weep” on the Disney channel.) The movies, “Camp Kid”, “Forever Strong,” “Beau Jest,” and “Teenius” .. "Taking Five," "Adventures of Power," and "Evil Angel," TNT’s “Blank Slate” used extras, also. There are too many to name, but those are a few! HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 3, along with several other films are in need of extras right now!

How do I get booked as an Extra?
Most extras will be booked on a project within a week or two, particularly in prime filming season. After you are a registered Extra with us, please check your email as frequently as possible. This will tell you the various projects that are going on and what type of people we need for each. Most times you will be called, or there will be a general call for extras who fit certain requirements. The Extras Casting Directors book people on a first come, first served basis. Sometimes they will also call to check your availability for each day of extra work needed. Make sure you answer your phones and check your e-mail messages every day! Extra work can be very last minute. Please block out your whole day when you tell them that you are available for work. Make arrangements to get off work, school, or other plans for that day. E-mail them right away if they request it and they will e-mail or call you back with a confirmed booking.

What time do I need to be on set?
We NEVER know the call time for that extra work until the day before. Call times change, even from the night before. The Extras Casting Directors for each project will then e-mail, call, or you can check on the Project Info the day before you are scheduled to work and find out your wardrobe, location, and call time. Important: be available by phone and respond to their e-mail or webpage posting letting them know that you are all set for the following day's work.

How Much Does Being an Extra Cost?
There is a flat $50 cost for registering with us as an extra, or $150 for your entire family, for life! Included in this price is the listing of your professional-quality headshot which will be listed on our website for as long as the picture is current, and professional representation as a background actor in the industry. We will forward your information to the extras casting directors on different projects to make sure you have a spot available for you when and if you wish to participate, as long as room is available to you. We do not take any commission from extras on projects that are less than $100 or that we are not personally involved with in the booking process. Anything over $100 that we arranged for you, we would get just 10%. Extras Casting Directors casting for commercials, films, TV shows, etc. will choose you from your profile on this site and offer you jobs as stand-ins, photo-doubles, featured extras, or regular extras.

How do I get started as an ACTOR, MODEL, or VOICE TALENT??
Knightstar is very selective in who we represent, as we strive for strong, reliable Talent. However, even if you are breaking into this industry, if we see great potential and drive, we will give you a chance. Presently we are looking for actors and models of all experience levels-especially experienced. We are not interested in anyone looking for dual (or more) registration with other area talent agencies. We are only looking for serious actors who have the desire to help us help them and are looking for a loyal agency relationship. If you are an actor, voice actor, and/or model, please email us a photo (headshot/portfolio, resume, voiceover demo, video clips) to: Contact@knightstartalent.com. E-mail us your contact info and expressed interest as well. We will call you if we are in need and interested in setting up an interview.

How much do extras get paid?

As a Regular Extra, you usually make about $92/day. Featured Extras, Stand-ins and Photo-Doubles usually make around $100-150/day. Of course, it varies with each production and budget. We will occasionally email out non-pay extra work opportunities also, but for the most part, we focus on paid work.
